Located within the iconic Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney, the Garden Shop offers visitors a curated range of gifts, homewares, fashion and lifestyle products inspired by nature.
As part of a refurbishment of the existing retail space, Apex Display supplied a tailored UniSlot™ Wallmount display solution designed to improve merchandising flexibility, maximise product presentation and complement the unique setting of the Gardens.
Apex Display worked closely with the project team to develop a practical, visually cohesive and budget-conscious fixture solution, supporting the project from planning through to installation.

The Apex Display Solution
Apex Display supplied a combination of black UniSlot™ Wallmount displays, black timber Accent Panels and Slatwall Back Panels to create a sophisticated retail backdrop that allowed the Garden Shop’s products to stand out.
The system incorporated shelving, accessories and freestanding drawer units, giving the store flexibility to merchandise different product categories while maintaining a consistent look and feel.
Because the store sells a changing mix of gifts, homewares, lifestyle products and fashion items, the UniSlot™ system provided the adaptability needed to refresh displays over time without requiring a full refit.
Challenges & Solutions
One area of the store had a lower ceiling height, requiring a customised fixture approach to ensure the displays integrated cleanly into the existing space.
To solve this, Apex Display modified the height of the UniSlot™ Wall Posts to suit the site conditions while maintaining visual consistency across the fitout.
Apex Display also reviewed wall bay sizing, fixture layouts and merchandising opportunities to maximise usable display space and reduce the need for additional custom joinery. This helped keep the solution practical, flexible and cost-effective.
Project Takeaway
A modular retail display system such as UniSlot™ can be adapted to suit existing site constraints, including lower ceiling heights and unusual wall layouts, while still delivering a consistent, premium store presentation.
