City Chic, a leading global fashion brand specialising in sizes 10-28, is known for delivering stylish, confident and inclusive fashion for curvy women. With a strong presence in the plus-size fashion industry, their retail spaces are designed to showcase both their product offering and their commitment to elevated design.
For their ECQ Outlet store, City Chic partnered with Apex Display to supply fixtures that would support a highly flexible and visually appealing retail environment. As an outlet store, the space needed to accommodate a large and frequently changing volume of stock, while also maintaining a clean and organised presentation.
Working alongside a designer who developed the store layout, City Chic purchased fixtures directly through Apex Display. This approach gave them the flexibility to adjust and refine their fixture selection throughout the build process as store requirements evolved.

The Challenge
City Chic required a solution that could support the demands of a busy outlet environment while maintaining a polished and cohesive look. Their existing clothing racks were no longer meeting the demands of high-volume merchandising, prompting the need for a more durable and flexible alternative.

THE SOLUTION
Apex Display supplied a range of Linear Racks designed to meet the practical demands of the ECQ Outlet store while elevating the overall presentation.
The Linear Rack range, including both High and Low versions, provided versatile merchandising solutions that allow stock to be easily moved and reconfigured throughout the store. As freestanding fixtures, they can be repositioned quickly to support new layouts, promotional stock or seasonal changes—without the need for permanent installation.
The H-Frame Gondola was also introduced as a strong merchandising fixture, offering both side hanging and front-facing display options. Finished in black with a white topper, it provides contrast and visual interest while aligning with the City Chic brand aesthetic.
A large display table with a nesting drawer unit was included to support folded merchandise, creating a structured and organised presentation for key product ranges at the store entry.
Outcome
The finished ECQ Outlet store delivers a functional and adaptable retail environment that supports the fast-paced nature of outlet merchandising.
The combination of durable Linear Racks, a versatile H-Frame Gondola and structured display tables allows the City Chic team to present their product range clearly and efficiently, while maintaining a clean and cohesive in-store aesthetic.
With freestanding, modular fixtures, the store can be easily reconfigured to respond to changing stock levels and merchandising needs—without disruption to the space.
