A premium retail space can feel considered and tailored to a brand without relying entirely on fixed, custom-made fixtures.
That balance is evident across Apex Display’s work with Fayt the Label. Over approximately three years, Apex Display has supplied retail fixtures for Fayt stores in Chermside, Hawthorn and, most recently, its long-term Adelaide pop-up.
The relationship began with the Chermside store, where Storepro led the design and installation. Apex Display supplied UniSlot™ Wallmount and clothing racks, with the Wallmount system incorporated into Storepro’s wider store design and cabinetry.
For the later projects, Apex Display has worked more directly with the Fayt team, continuing to provide fixture solutions that support a polished store presentation while retaining flexibility for merchandising.
Design Objectives
For a fashion retailer, the fixtures need to complement the overall store aesthetic without limiting how the space can be merchandised.
UniSlot™ provides a flexible foundation for this approach. Its clean, understated framework can sit comfortably within a more customised store environment, while interchangeable shelving, hanging and display accessories allow the merchandising configuration to change without replacing the entire fixture system.
It is a practical way to bridge the gap between standard off-the-shelf shopfittings and a fully custom fitout.
The Solution
At Chermside, Storepro incorporated UniSlot™ Wallmount supplied by Apex Display into the wider store concept. This allowed the merchandising fixtures to work as part of the overall design while maintaining the flexibility of the UniSlot™ system.
The result shows how UniSlot™ can act as the bones of a custom-looking fitout. The surrounding design can establish the brand aesthetic, while the fixture system provides a practical and flexible merchandising framework.
For Fayt’s long-term Adelaide pop-up, Apex Display supplied UniSlot™ Linear Racks. Their clean, freestanding format suits a considered retail environment while allowing the layout to be rearranged as the space, range or merchandising requirements change. This makes them particularly well suited to longer-term pop-ups where presentation matters, but flexibility is still important.
The Result
Across the three locations, Apex Display fixtures have provided Fayt the Label with a consistent foundation for a polished retail presentation without making the merchandising framework fixed.
From UniSlot™ Wallmount incorporated into the Chermside store design to freestanding Linear Racks in Adelaide, the system shows how modular fixtures can work within different retail formats while maintaining a cohesive, premium look.
