New Designer Racks with Australian-Made Timber Bases

Retail Sales

This month Jobkeeper is coming to an end, but thankfully for many Australians the confidence is already back. The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported a 10.7% increase in retail sales in January, compared to the same time last year. It’s a really encouraging sign for the retail sector, which continues to see a steady and substantial rise in monthly sales overall.

New Industry Developments

There are many new developments underway supporting the future of bricks and mortar retail. In Queensland, the city of Ipswich is undergoing a massive revitalisation of the Nicholas street precincts, worth 250  million dollars. The population of Ipswich is expected to double within the next twenty years,  so there is a growing need for retail. This is the largest transformation to be undertaken in the  Ipswich CBD in more than 30 years. In Sydney, the two billion Brookfield place project above Wynyard  station is nearing completion. This project includes 7,000 square metres of premium retail  space, with an additional 27 stories of commercial offices right in the heart of Sydney.

Apex Display & New Designer Racks

The future at Apex Display is also very promising, and we are continually investing in our manufacturing  facilities. We have recently installed new machines to keep up with the growing demand  for our Australian-made shopfittings and displays; from our UniSlot™ system and accessories,  such as slatwall shelves, but also counters, display prints and much more.

This month, we’re introducing the new and improved designer racks. They’re easy to assemble and add  a fantastic contemporary vibe to your shop. You can also complement these racks with an  Australian-made timber base manufactured right here in our factory. Although it may not feel like  it, Autumn is here. So don’t miss the opportunity to sell off your summer stuff and get ready for a  busy Easter. Stay safe and positive and we’ll see you again soon for the April Retailer’s Update.
