The V-Box Clothing Project
Kim and Trevor opened VBox clothing back in 2014, bringing the latest streetwear trends to Australia. VBox Clothing focuses on original niche urban street collections from exclusive brands. The Sydney shop is shaped in a V like a diamond. This unusual shop layout, yet very appropriate for the streetwear market, is prone to become the Roseland shopping centre’s gem.
After several years in business, it was time to revamp the jewel. Kim and Trevor wanted their store to reflect the store’s uniqueness while embracing the environment expected by streetwear enthusiasts.
For the shop owners, the spotlight needed to remain on their exclusive urban collections. “I want clothing to be the main attraction”, explained Kim. They wanted modular display systems to rearrange their store according to new collections or seasons effortlessly.
So here were the challenges Kim and Trevor faced while revamping their store, make the best out of the diamond shape layout of their store, use functional and modular display systems, allowing creativity and originality without taking the spotlight away from their product range.
The urban labels business owners called on professional interior designers to make the best out of the v-shaped claw. In the meantime, they found and browse the Apex Display website. The shop fittings display system’s original look and feel, and the wide range of clothing racks inspire them.
Their natural flair for visual merchandising and their interior designers’ shop arrangement sketches led them to use a diverse range of pipe racks on their store’s walls and floor, along with nested tables matching the urban vibe of the streetwear shop.
Kim and Trevor opted for black UniSlot Cube units and Wallmount systems to feature on both windows and displaying products to shoppers inside and outside the store. They added no less than eighteen customed timber shelves made in our Brisbane’s warehouse out of Australian wood. Kim and Trevor completed their design with customed mesh panels to add an urban accent. Bays of the UniSlot Cube can stand by themselves or quickly assemble to form a bigger unit altogether. They are also easy to move around and put together in record time. Kim and Trevor completed the diamond shape layout of their store with Peggie pegboard system of the same darker tone on the remaining walls.
Vivid track lights completed the store revamped and emphasised the urban and contemporary vibe of such a unique store in its ring box, the Roseland shopping centre’s jewel.
